If you have been thinking about constructing an outdoor fireplace or maybe putting in a pizza oven the initial construction is now a little more affordable. Stone Age Manufacturing has designed and manufactured pre-engineered masonry fireplace kits for indoor and outdoor applications, as well as fire pits, brick and pizza ovens and kitchen island systems. I have met the owners and have seen their products being constructed. They are of a very high quality and greatly reduce the time required to put together these masonry units. The time required to build the firebox and smoke chamber is reduced from a couple of days to a couple of hours. Once the shell is constructed the firebox and outside of the fireplace is completed using traditional masonry methods. The outside can be finished with any material you like including brick, stone, cultured stone or stucco.
